Established in 2011, N. S. Bartholomew Consulting (NSBC) champions the growth, profitability, and sustainability of the seafood industry.
Nadine S. Bartholomew, the Principal Consultant, has more than 15 years of experience developing and implementing communication strategies and programs to facilitate stakeholder engagement on cutting-edge issues such as corporate social responsibility (CSR), seafood sustainability, and supplier diversity. Her experience includes collaborating with leaders in the food industry and NGO sector to maximize the business, social, and environmental benefits of sustainability.
Prior to becoming a consultant, Nadine was the Manager of Business Outreach and Program Development for SeaWeb’s Seafood Choices Alliance, where she raised corporate awareness, engagement, and credibility around the issue of sustainable seafood. Nadine also worked at the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) where she developed and implemented multi-faceted strategies that promoted the CSR initiatives of food retailers and wholesalers through programs like FMI’s Neighborhood Partnership Awards (NPA).
Nadine began her career in the supermarket industry at Giant of Maryland (an Ahold USA subsidiary). As Marketing Specialist for Special Programs, she was responsible for developing and implementing marketing campaigns to promote consumer-outreach efforts for the 192-store chain through initiatives like Giant’s award winning Healthy Ideas program.
Nadine received her MBA from Loyola University Maryland and is based in Washington, DC. Her extensive knowledge and experience of the seafood wholesale and retail markets afford NSBC the ability to challenge convention and build upon past successes in order to help clients anticipate market conditions and maximize future business opportunities.
